In the book E-Squared by Pam Grout, she provides "do-it yourself" experiments that prove how our thoughts create our reality. One of the experiments suggests choosing something you would like to attract, such as a yellow car or purple butterfly, just to prove to yourself that as soon as you start to think about something, you start drawing that thing into your experience. Well, I wasn't even thinking of this experiment at the time, but I proved the concept to myself a few weeks ago when I started seeing tigers everywhere. Once I saw one and thought "oh, I really like tigers," it was like the Universe bent over backwards to show me as many tigers as possible. Some examples include:
- I was reading a story book with one of my students and the main character was dressing up as a tiger for a school play
- Driving to a house party, I saw a truck with a huge tiger on the side
- Watching a movie, one of the characters was wearing a tie with a tiger on it
- Walking through the mall, I saw a black shirt with a huge tiger on the front, in jewels!
- Friends and I were exploring Kurdistan one day when we met a father teaching his two children how to shoot (his daughter was planning on joining the military). As we were attempting to communicate with each other, I complimented the daughter on her shirt. You guessed it, there was a huge tiger on it.
